Margaret River is located just over 3 hours drive from Perth using South Western Highway (Route 20) and then Bussell Highway (Route 10) out of Busselton.
The climate here is mediterranean - making it perfect for growing grapes, producing some of the finest wines Australia has to offer. For the visitors the region is lucky enough to enjoy beautiful sunny days most of the year.
A must see on a visit to this region is Mammoth Cave - containing fossils that date back overe 35 000 years. This is a huge cave (as the name suggests) that has been transformed into a visitor centre attraction.
The Margaret river, not a wide river in itself - yet it is surrounded by stunning forest and flows into the ocean where some of the largest surfing waters in Australia can be found.
