From lush oasis towns like Barcaldine to the stunning spectacle of the dinosaur footprints near Winton, you really will be amazed at the variety of things to do and see. The Stockman's Hall of Fame at Longreach at the end of the Matilda Highway, chronicles the history of the bush, or take the Yellowbelly Express through crocodile territory.
Take a leap back to a time when you could leave your house and vehicle unlocked, when people stopped in the street to help others, and when you could just enjoy a beer on the raw timber bar without the noise of gambling and loud music.
